Break Away 5K 2017 – The Race To End Domestic Violence
We are excited to announce that the 2017 Break Away 5K will take place on March 11th! The race will take place at 121 North Bentz Street in Frederick. Strollers and dogs are welcome!
The mission of this race is to raise awareness and educate others about domestic violence in and around the Frederick, MD area. All proceeds from this race will be donated to benefit the Heartly House!
Heartly House, Inc. has been helping Frederick County residents, for over 30 years, who have been impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse. “We run so she doesn’t have to.”
Domestic violence is a pattern of behavior where one person exerts power or control over another through physical, psychological, emotional, verbal, sexual, and/or economic abuse. Domestic violence can happen to anyone. Thank you for helping us break the cycle of abuse.
