Heartly House is honored to have been featured in the 2019-2020 Greater Washington Catalogue for Philanthropy, recognized widely as one of the best guides of its kind in the metropolitan area.

The Catalogue for Philanthropy is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to highlighting “the best local charities and their work…to show what is possible when caring citizens connect with worthy causes and act together on behalf of the greater good.” Using a rigorous vetting process that relies on the input of more than 120 local experts, the Catalogue selects 75 nonprofits from a pool of approximately 400 applicants as the agencies they believe are making the biggest difference in their communities.

“Receiving the ‘stamp of approval’ from the Greater Washington Catalogue for Philanthropy is a great honor for us, because we know they set the bar very high,” said Heartly House President & Executive Director Inga James. “Being selected for this guide serves as validation for our hardworking staff, volunteers, and Board of Directors, and reassures our donors that one of the most highly-regarded reviewers in the metropolitan area has given us high marks for financial transparency, meeting our clients’ needs, and making an impact within our community.”
